Since 2022 I have been sharing my love of watercolour painting with experienced and novice painters.
I really believe that everyone can create beautiful art – it is just a matter of managing expectations and not being too hard on yourself.
Many people’s belief that they are “no good” at art seems to stem from early criticism by teachers or parents. I love giving my pupils the belief in themselves and the confidence that they too can create something lovely to look at.
Many of my pupils return for follow-on courses as their knowledge and confidence increases.

Spend a very enjoyable four hours learning the joy of watercolour painting: experiment with colour, water and paper to create something beautiful.
Courses for up to six people at a time are held at my home in the Forest of Dean.
Inspiration for landscape and floral painting during the day is taken from my garden with its extensive views overlooking the River Severn. Together we work on techniques to recreate this beauty on paper as well as on a lampshade to take home after the course.
At the end of the session you will leave with all your creations together with the enthusiasm and confidence to carry on painting at home…
The cost is £50 per person for a four hour course and includes all materials and light refreshments.
